About
Orinda Park Pool is a member-only, family-friendly pool that serves as a summer retreat for families, friends, and neighbors. The pool follows an Air Quality Procedure and will be closed when the Air Quality Index exceeds 150 (55 uq/m^3). The program provides a weather and air quality data dashboard and weather forecast on its site for members to review.
• Schedule: Weather and air quality data are available online; pool closure occurs when the AQI exceeds 150 (55 uq/m^3)
Club Manager Eldad Hazor leads the club’s operations. The mission of Orinda Park Pool states that, for generations, it has been more than just a swimming facility and has been a place where members can relax, connect, and enjoy the summer in a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. Members and visitors are highly encouraged to carpool during swim meets, and visitors are asked to avoid using Alta Vista Drive because it is a very narrow one-way street and residents have requested that members not take this route. Parking rules specify never parking in a fire lane, including the access road to the guard shack, not blocking the entrance or exit of the overflow lot, not parking on the street where a passing car would have to cross a double yellow line, and ensuring that if parking on the side of the road, both tires are over the white line.
