The WAVE Program offers two-week summer day camp sessions for girls and boys going into 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th grade. Week 1 activities listed include basketball, swimming, wrestling, baseball, softball, tennis, football, art, track & field, lacrosse, and golf. Week 2 activities listed include robotics, swimming, wrestling, culinary, dance, track & field, tennis, volleyball, get fit, soccer, and water polo.

About the provider

The WAVE Program was established in 2016 as a 501(c)(3) public-funded foundation and opened in the summer of 2017. The site names Darryl Smith as Co-Founder and Executive Director, and Conor O'Brien as the lead teacher of Math Mates and Wave Writers. The program says it aims to introduce the youth of Pacific Grove to extracurricular activities offered by the Pacific Grove Unified School District and to provide an active, healthy, positive camp environment that sparks interest in team and individual sports and the arts electives offered at Pacific Grove High School.

To attend the WAVE Program, students must be entering 4th, 5th, 6th, or 7th grade in the fall of 2026 and must attend Forest Grove or Robert Down Elementary or Pacific Grove Middle School, or live in the PGUSD boundaries. The program expectations are Participation, Commitment, and Positive Attitude.
