The Wahine Project offers Fall Youth Programs. It also offers Women's Surf Retreats, Women's Surf Lesson and Restorative Yoga, Wahine Experiences, Team Building, and Wahine Stoke. Women's Surf Retreats are open to all abilities and do not require knowing how to swim, and Wahine Stoke includes individual lessons and small groups with all equipment provided for a 1.5 hour lesson.

- Fall Youth Programs
- Women's Surf Retreats — $300 · Fall Women's Surf Retreats on September 18-20th 2026 at Casa Verde Beach, Monterey. Open to all abilities; you do not need to know how to swim.
- Women's Surf Lesson and Restorative Yoga — October 10th, 10-12pm · $125 · At Casa Verde Beach. Open to all abilities; you do not need to know how to swim.
- Wahine Experiences — Destination retreats in Northern Baja, Mexico. 5-day experience for women; no surf lessons are given, but surfing the beachfront and boogie boarding are mentioned.
- Team Building — Day of surfing and beach activities for organizations.
- Wahine Stoke — $200 · Individual lessons and small groups. All equipment is provided for a 1.5 hour lesson.

About the provider
The Wahine Project was created in 2010 and expanded in 2015. Dionne Ybarra is the Founding Director, and Alice Aguillon is the Operations Manager. The organization’s mission is inspiring a global response that eliminates the barriers preventing a diversity of youth from a personal relation with the ocean and with one another. It is based in the Monterey Bay in California, on Ohlone Land, and all proceeds from Alma Del Mar benefit Wahine Programs.
No gender restrictions in any of the programs; participants may choose the program that is most comfortable or co-ed. Supports the gender expansiveness of participants. Women's Surf Retreats are open to all abilities and you do not need to know how to swim. The organization states there are no gender restrictions in any of its programs.
