Mike Murrell's Cave Academy Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu offers Cave Juniors for ages 4-8 and Cave kids for ages 8-13. Cave Juniors focuses on coordination, safe falling, basic Jiu-Jitsu movements, listening, respect, and teamwork. Cave kids covers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, and wrestling, including takedowns, control positions, and submissions.

• Cave Juniors — Ages 4-8 · $160–$249 per month · Kids Martial arts. Focuses on coordination, safe falling, basic Jiu-Jitsu movements, listening, respect, and teamwork.
• Cave kids — Ages 8-13 · $160–$249 per month · Kids Martial arts. Covers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, and wrestling, including takedowns, control positions, and submissions.
• Traditional Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu — Uses the traditional kimono (Gi) for leverage and control.
• Self-Defense & Bully-Proofing — Teaches skills and confidence to handle physical confrontations, de-escalate situations, and stand up to bullies verbally.
• Optional Competition Team — Dedicated competition class for kids ready to challenge themselves more.
• Adults Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Classes — $170–$265 per month · Adults program for fitness, self-defense, or competition, with Gi and No-Gi classes.
• Traditional Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu — Adult Gi training program.
• Modern No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu — Submission grappling without the uniform; integrates collegiate wrestling and modern techniques.

About the provider

The leadership team includes Head Instructor Sensei Mike / Michael "Mike" Murrell, a 2nd Degree BJJ Black Belt and judo black belt, and Frank "Papa" Nuñez, a 4th Degree BJJ Black Belt. The program has over 20 years of experience teaching kids, and Mike says he started Jiu-Jitsu and Judo at 18 and has taught the art to thousands of people. The kids' program mission states that martial arts are a powerful tool for building character and that the program aims to build confidence and discipline and empower children with skills and values that last a lifetime.
