• Ages: 5–13 years old

Brains & Motion Education states that its mission is to spark kids’ curiosity, creativity, and love of learning by combining STEAM adventures with sports and outdoor movement, with a focus on both intellectual and physical growth in a fun, inclusive environment. The organization describes itself as a STEAM and sports education provider trusted by families and schools nationwide, with 100,000 students served and 1,100 school partnerships. It partners with local Bay Area schools and community organizations to create spaces where kids can discover new interests, build friendships, and celebrate their achievements, and it offers financial assistance in Illinois through a scholarship application.

Instructors and coaches undergo extensive background checks and rigorous vetting processes, receive training in their subject areas, and are trained in child development and safety protocols. Staff backgrounds include education, coaching, STEAM, and child psychology, and the program uses carefully selected mentors with a stated focus on nurturing both intellectual and physical growth. The leadership team includes CEO Bart Epstein, CFO Frank Bonanno, COO Kristopher Kasper, CRO Rob Magliano, CTO Sean Zinsley, VP of Curriculum Jody Nova, VP of Finance Charissa Murphy, Director of Talent Acquisition & Customer Service Kirsten Tamura, Director of Sales Operations Sarah Esquivel, Operations Directors Amanda Wright and Jessica De Arcos, Director of Summer Camps Casie DiCenso, Director of Training & Development Mallory Davis, and Director of Sales, West, Trey Thompson.

Parent feedback includes comments that a counselor named Camille helped a young camper feel comfortable starting a new camp, that a child wished a robotics camp session were longer because of how much fun he had, and that one camper became more talkative at home and shared a lot about her group and coach. Another parent described the program as well rounded across the STEAM range, said her child enjoys attending each day, and highlighted an instructor, Ms. Sierra, as helpful, kind, bright, and enthusiastic about her work.
