Pacifica Platypus Swim Club is a competitive swim program where swimmers take part in practices that prepare them for local swim meets. The program also offers a free workout for potential members and invites families to drop in to observe a practice one evening. In addition to swimming and meets, the team holds social events such as field trips, barbecues, and pizza parties.

Pacifica Platypus Swim Club is a USA Swimming age group team for youths between 6 and 17 years. The mission of the Pacifica Platypus Swim Club is to provide the youth of the community with a USA Swimming club and to provide a physically and emotionally safe environment where the sport of swimming is promoted. All swimmers, no matter what their skill level, will be welcomed and encouraged to grow to their highest potential. The vision states that, in addition to improving their swimming skills, team members will develop the positive personal skills of discipline, perseverance, self-confidence and good sportsmanship, and the goal is to introduce the sport of swimming to team members and encourage them to make it an activity that will become a part of their future life. Pacifica Platypus Swim Club is part of Terra Nova Aquatics, which is a non-profit organization for swimmers of all ages and abilities. PPSC is a recognized safe sport club, and the coaching staff will prepare the team to compete in local swim meets and will help the swimmers achieve “A” times as well as Junior Olympic and Far Western qualifying times. PPSC has set a goal to sign up 100 swimmers by the end of the year.
