About
Hastings Ranch Nursery School is a play-based parent cooperative preschool where children learn through exploration and discovery. The program uses Creative Curriculum, which is based on exploration and discovery as a way of learning and includes comprehensive assessment tools aligned with the Common Core State Standards, state early learning guidelines, and the Head Start Child Development and Early Learning Framework. HRNS aims to be the leading preschool to prepare today's children to become tomorrow's innovators and leaders by utilizing engaging hands-on STEAM and play-based learning.

• Schedule: Classes run Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 3:30pm
The program’s mission is to help children develop a love of learning through play, foster a commitment to explore and value differences, build a foundation for independence, cultivate social and emotional development, and enable academic growth through its cooperative family of families. Creative Curriculum at HRNS addresses social-emotional learning, math, technology, and the arts, and incorporates these areas throughout the day. The Creative Curriculum platform also offers family-focused resources that support connections between school and home.
Family involvement at Hastings Ranch Nursery School keeps child care affordable and accessible while building community among HRNS families and staff. The cooperative model allows families to volunteer in the classroom and serve as committee or board members. HRNS states that it does not discriminate by race, color, national or ethnic origin, creed, religion, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, disability or status in its admissions, policies, or programs.
