Sunrise Preschool includes daily activities such as music, art, indoor discovery centers, outdoor play, cooking, gardening, phonics, number skills, beginning writing, Bible stories, daily Bible lessons, arts and crafts, story time, playground fun, and reading readiness. The program offers both preschool and extended-day childcare services for boys and girls and is a Christian school teaching the Bible as the inspired and authoritative word of God, with daily Bible lessons that include teachings of Christian holidays and biblical family values and present biblical principles in a fun and positive way.

Sunrise Preschool has been providing preschool and daycare services since 1990. Experienced and qualified teachers focus on developmentally appropriate academic activities and lessons, and every member of the instructional staff is a qualified teacher who meets and/or surpasses the qualifications required by the state of California. Children are guided by professional and qualified teachers each day, with two teachers in every class to support supervised activities and small group attention.
The founding preschool director’s vision for Sunrise Preschool is to develop the total character of each child by providing a preschool experience of lasting value, and its stated mission is to build solid developmental foundations for future success in physical agility, academic achievements, loving relationships, and service to God. Sunrise Preschool is a non-profit organization sponsored by Pasadena First Church of the Nazarene and is a ministry of First Church of the Nazarene of Pasadena.
Sunrise Preschool is licensed by the State of California Department of Health and Social Services and is identified as a Christian school. The school admits students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin. The facility is wheelchair accessible, offers bike parking, provides tours by appointment, and does not accept credit cards.
