Pasadena Dance Theatre’s professional company has existed since its inception in 1996, and the organization houses this professional company alongside its training programs. The Elementary Division Summer Session includes Creative Movement for ages 3–5 and Pre-Ballet 1 and 2 for ages 5–7. Maintenance Classes are open to Tech 1, Tech 2, and Advanced levels and are available on a drop-in basis on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5 PM to 7 PM between July 6 and 31, 2026. The Pre-Professional Summer Intensive is a four-week program from July 6–31, 2026, offering focused training for dancers ages 8–18 in ballet, contemporary, conditioning, and more.

PDT’s mission is to advance the art of ballet and dance by fostering a respectful, welcoming environment where young people can train, perform, and gain life-long skills. Pasadena Dance Theatre’s core values include cultivating artistry, expression, and joy; building community; encouraging determination; creating resiliency; developing respect; inspiring passion; embracing failure; and developing self-discipline and life-long skills. PDT is committed to expanding access to students from groups traditionally underrepresented in ballet, and states that anyone who holds the love of dance in their heart is welcomed and encouraged to see themselves as an essential component in ballet’s future. PDT’s Conservatory dancers are given the opportunity to perform as trainees with the company, and the organization commissions new works spanning classical, neo-classical, and contemporary ballet to post modern dance. Pasadena Dance Theatre is supported, in part, by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Department of Arts and Culture.
