Hollywood Arts Academy Music Lessons for Kids & Adults offers private music lessons, including voice, piano, violin, guitar, drum, and guzheng lessons. Hollywood Arts Academy’s mission is to offer affordable private piano lessons in Pasadena, San Gabriel, San Marino, Altadena, El Monte, Arcadia, and nearby cities. Hollywood Arts Academy (previously known as Lee Music School) was founded in 2009 by instructor Donna Lee, with Lee Music School active until 2013 before the switch to the Hollywood Arts Academy name. All teachers hold years of experience working with students.
The program offers preparation for the Certificate of Merit Exam and other examinations based on students’ needs, as well as preparation for regional examinations. Students progress through sight reading, musicianship, solfege, and ear training, and can use CDs and the latest teaching methods to practice at home. There is an annual recital and an annual Christmas Concert where students can perform in front of an audience, and the annual recital takes place in the month of Christmas.
Hollywood Arts Academy offers fun and engaging voice lessons for kids of all ages, and students can pick any musical style to continue with while teachers use different teaching styles based on individual needs. The program provides music lessons for kids ages 4–17 and for adults age 18 and above. One free trial lesson is available for new students to decide their musical level and instrument, and a free trial lesson is also available to decide the musical level and instrument for new students.
Lessons are billed monthly with no semester commitment, and 24 hours’ notice is required before a lesson to stop lessons, with any credit refunded back. Multiple payment options are available, including check, credit card, bank, or cash, and there is an option to enroll in automatic payments. The program also offers complimentary gifts to students who practice and succeed well in lessons through a points system.
