About
NHSP Summer Camp includes activities such as STEMtastic, Arabic Excursions, Motion Commotion, Inside the Garden and Outside Art, a Water Slide, Global Goals: Soccer Around the World, Travel on the Silk Road: Search for Treasures along the Way, and Rainforest Expedition: Discover Critters of the Canopy. Camp days also feature STEMtastic & Brain Games, Contemplation Time, Water Wednesdays, Friday Jamboree, Field Trip Fridays, and field trips to the Rose Bowl / Brookside Park and the Pacific Asia Museum. All themes are tied to the Qur’an, and this connection is highlighted in daily prayer and Qur’an sessions.

• Schedule: Weekly sessions from June 22 to July 24, with early arrival from 8:15–8:45 AM, regular camp from 8:45 AM–3:15 PM, and an Extended Fun Camp option from 3:15–6:00 PM
• Price: WEEK 1 $325.00; WEEK 2 $265.00; WEEK 3 $350.00; WEEK 4 $350.00; WEEK 5 $325.00; Extended Fun Camp $80 per week or $20 per day; $100 non-refundable deposit; cancellations before June 8 include a 75% refund, and after June 8 include a 0% refund, with exceptions allowed with proof of a medical condition that prevents attendance for more than 2 days
NHSP Summer Camp is open to all students, whether or not they attend New Horizon School Pasadena, and it is a peanut free camp. Water Wednesdays include water games with water blasters, and campers are asked to bring their own water blasters. Lunch and snack time are structured so that each camper brings their own lunch and snacks, and an Extended Fun Camp is offered after regular camp hours. The camp offers an Early Bird Registration Discount of 10% for those who register by April 15, Junior Counselor volunteer positions for students entering grades 7–12, and paid Camp Counselor positions for ages 18 and up.
New Horizon School Pasadena is a National Blue Ribbon School and is fully accredited by CAIS and WASC. The school’s mission states that New Horizon School is committed to providing students with an excellent academic education and firm grounding in moral and ethical values. The Peace Garden, whose vision was established in 2016, was created to enrich student learning, inspire nature appreciation and environmental stewardship, and sow seeds of peace and understanding through community building. Community involvement connected to the school includes an Interfaith Program and a Community Worker Day at the Lower School featuring the Pasadena Fire Department, Pasadena Police Department, Environmental Defenders from the LA Dept. of Public Works, a pharmacist, an accountant, and a safety officer from Safe Moves. The summer camp leadership team includes a Summer Camp Director (reachable at [email protected]), Suad Naser as the Summer Camp contact in the Lower School Office, and Amira Al-Sarraf as Head of School.
