Class Act Dance & Performing Arts Studio offers dance and performing arts training, including ballet. The program includes a ballet program that follows the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet (CPYB) syllabus. Instruction is provided by instructors who either hold a degree or minor in dance or have trained at Class Act Dance as alumni for at least five years.

• Schedule: Office hours Monday–Friday 9:00 am–5:00 pm and Saturday 8:30 am–2:30 pm

Class Act Dance & Performing Arts Studio was founded in 1989 by Cheryle Armstrong and has operated for nearly four decades. The studio’s mission is to cultivate excellence through dance and performing arts education and to provide training to individuals of all ages and skill levels who are passionate about the performing arts. The curriculum is described as dynamic and comprehensive, with a pre-professional foundation that emphasizes clean technique and preparation for performance and future professional opportunities. Studio A and Studio B are equipped with Marley flooring.

The leadership team includes Owner and Paso Robles Dance Collective Director Rachel Connerton; Founder and Ballet Instructor Cheryle Armstrong; Communication & Marketing Director Alyna Gibson; Ballet Director Theresa Broussard Comstock; and PRDC Production Choreographer & Rehearsal Director Doriana Sanchez. Each instructor annually enhances their expertise across various dance genres. The ballet program follows the internationally respected Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet (CPYB) syllabus.

Staff credentials include extensive training and professional experience. Owner Rachel Connerton has trained at The School of Ballet Chicago, Pacific Northwest Ballet School, LINES Contemporary Ballet, North Carolina Dance Theatre, and Richmond Ballet, began her professional career in 2014 with multiple companies, has been teaching for over a decade in California, Virginia, Minnesota, and Texas, and is a 2022/2023 National Visiting Fellow of the School of American Ballet at Lincoln Center and a faculty member of The Joffrey Workshop. Founder Cheryle Armstrong holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Ballet Director Theresa Broussard Comstock graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.F.A. in Ballet from Texas Christian University (TCU). PRDC Production Choreographer & Rehearsal Director Doriana Sanchez is an award-winning Director and Choreographer who received an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Choreography for Cher: Live in Concert – From the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and a World Choreography Award for Concert Choreography for the Cher D2K Tour.

Class Act Dance & Performing Arts Studio offers enrollment year round and a free trial. The studio emphasizes an inclusive, family-oriented culture that is described as a second home where dancers are celebrated and highlights a mission to expand access to inspiring performances year-round. Class Act Dance has become a cornerstone of Paso Robles and neighboring communities and emphasizes building a strong sense of community both in and out of the studio.
