About
College for Kids is DVC's summer STEAM program for youth entering 4th–9th grades, offered in two 3-week sessions. The program includes specific classes and activities such as coding and robotics, cartooning, slow-motion Lego, 3D printing, chemistry, engineering, algebra, math puzzles, and watercolor. It also offers classes in science, writing, computer technology, engineering, math, performing arts, and more.

• Schedule: Afternoons, usually 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., in two 3-week sessions
• Schedule: Summer 2026 Session Dates: Session 1: June 9 – June 25; Session 2: July 7 – July 23
Diablo Valley College officially began offering classes in 1949, and the name Diablo Valley College was adopted in 1958. Diablo Valley College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC), an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education. Faculty from Diablo Valley College's various career education programs are in continuous dialog with the surrounding community to keep pace with emerging technologies and new skill requirements students need in any job market.
