Starlight Performing Arts Center

Starlight Performing Arts Center offers dance, tumbling, cheer, musical theatre classes, and full musical theatre productions. The program includes recreational style classes and shows where everyone who signs up gets to participate, as well as competition teams, pre-professional training, and large scale musicals. Students also take part in performances at parades, county fairs, Warriors games, local carnivals and events, and trips to Disneyland.

Starlight Performing Arts Center has been in the East Bay Area for 25 years, first in Walnut Creek, then in Martinez and Pleasant Hill. It operates in a temporary space with three full-time dance studios and rehearsal rooms, a cushy indoor lobby, Marley floors and mirrors in both dance studios, and a third rehearsal room with a full stage. The program offers after school enrichment, home school programs, and classes that are part of school curriculum at schools, and it presents more than a dozen performances a year. Starlight Studios states that it is an all inclusive space for children and adults of all ages, races, genders, sexualities, abilities, and special needs, and that music, themes, and costumes are carefully chosen to be healthy and age appropriate. The program notes that text is preferred over calls for contact and that no refunds are offered.
