About
YoungWonks Online Coding & Engineering Classes for Kids & Teens offers coding summer classes in a bootcamp-style format, online 1:1 private coding classes, and onsite coding classes for kids. The program includes computer science classes with a robotics, Internet of Things (IOT), and game development based curriculum, with courses such as Scratch, Python, Circuit-Magic, Raspberry Pi, PyGame, advanced programming, full stack web and app development, machine learning and AI, and a robotics and game development program. Students can also take SAT Prep Summer Camp, AP Computer Science Principles Prep, AP Computer Science A Java Prep, math, English, music, UI/UX, 3D modeling with TinkerCad and Blender, video editing camp, AI filmmaking, humanoid robotics, and projects such as texturing, animating and rendering a solar system animation, learning organic modeling to sculpt an island, animating a bouncing ball using the graph editor, and creating their own 3D characters.

• Schedule: Year-round, self-paced programs with each class session lasting 1.5 hours
• Price: $277 for every 4 weeks which covers one 1.5 hour class per week; $270 for every 4 weeks, one 90 min group class (4:1) per week
Most summer camps are offered in an online format, with a few offered in-person, and the program provides both 1:1 private and 4:1 group formats, including a 4 students to 1 instructor class format for some classes. The program offers a free 1:1 trial class, a Python-oriented curriculum, and a curriculum based on hands-on robotics and game development projects, using a project and exercise based approach with no class lectures and hands-on inquiry-based learning with teacher assisted practice. Programs are year-round and self paced, with 24/7 access to lessons on the YoungWonks Student Portal / LMS and YoungWonks Parent Apps to track a child’s progress, instructor feedback, class schedule, and make-up classes, and class discounts are available for existing YoungWonks students taking coding classes.
Professional teachers and coders with a bachelor’s degree or higher teach the classes, and YoungWonks does not hire college students to be teachers. YoungWonks has an 11+ years track record of turning kids into professional programmers. The program is WASC accredited, and most after-school programs in the US are not accredited, and YoungWonks is a 2025 CODiE Winner for Best Coding & Development Solution, Best Coding and Computational Thinking Solution, and Best Coding & Development Solution.
