About

First Tee Tri-Valley Youth Programs offers junior golf where participants learn golf fundamentals and advanced techniques. The program includes fun activities designed to prepare children to play golf, be active and have fun with peers in a safe and encouraging manner, and focus on building relationships with other players while exploring the game of golf. Participants can explore both golf skills and character commitments, develop additional golf skills and abilities, and take part in specific offerings such as Spring Break Camp, LPGA Girls Golf Program, Introduction to Tournament Play, and Teen Connect (Ages 14-18), as well as the Ace capstone program for high school teens.

• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Spring Registration opens on March 16th at 8 AM, and each registration is for an 8-week session with a specific day of the week selected for the full session

First Tee Tri-Valley was formed in October 2005. The mission is to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. First Tee is an international youth development organization using the game of golf and its inherent values to teach young people life skills and healthy habits. First Tee Tri-Valley was formed by a group of local business leaders and golf professionals to make golfing more accessible throughout the Tri-Valley and Greater Alameda County with specifically targeted financial support, and many of their programs are offered free of charge to participant families whose children can benefit from their character education curriculum the most. First Tee Tri-Valley is the local chapter for Alamo, Castro Valley, Blackhawk, Danville, Diablo, Dublin, Fremont, Livermore, Pleasanton, San Ramon, and Sunol. The leadership team includes Program Director, Jackie Garrigan, and Executive Director, Brian Amador. The program features junior golf programs that integrate golf with 9 Core Values, use trained coaches who create a safe, supportive, and empowering environment, and focus on 5 Key Commitments at each age group: Pursuing Goals, Growing through Challenge, Collaborating with Others, Building Positive Self-Identity, and Using Good Judgement, with Ace serving as a capstone program for high school teens that integrates the skills and inner strengths they have developed at First Tee and points them toward exploring, investing in, and building a clear plan and assets for their next step.
