La Escuelita Pleasanton

La Escuelita Pleasanton offers an immersive Spanish summer camp that includes phonics, language arts, writing, science, and math. The program also includes science activities at the park located across from La Escuelita, as well as guided visits to the public library and nearby museums. Classes are kept small, with a maximum of 5–7 students per class, and the environment is intended to be fully immersive in Spanish, with English used only when necessary, and fully immersive in English, with Spanish used only when necessary.

La Escuelita Pleasanton also offers 50-minute tutoring lessons in Common Core mathematics, writing, or reading, including Common Core Math in Spanish. The program is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). The team is completely bilingual in English and Spanish. The stated goal of the program is to teach students how to speak, read, and write properly in Spanish, with the belief that learning Spanish is just as important as learning English and that knowing more than one language is important in a diverse community. Being located in the Tri-Valley, the program has a special focus, but not exclusively, on the programs of the schools around Pleasanton, Livermore, and Dublin.
