Perla Spanish Tutoring Center opened in June 2014 and has been teaching Spanish to people of all ages and levels for over 15 years. Students from preschool, kindergarten, elementary, middle school, and high school have taken classes, and professionals also attend classes. The center conducts an assessment of each student’s Spanish level to create homogeneous groups, and it also offers 1:1 teaching for students who perform better individually or need help catching up to a group. The program prepares students for AP tests and SAT Subject Tests and prepares materials according to a professional’s line of work.
The center is led by founder Perla Francese and partner Lupita Garcia. Perla Francese was born in Mar del Plata, Argentina, studied to be a teacher in her hometown, and has been dedicated to teaching and tutoring Spanish classes since 2002. Lupita Garcia was born in Mexico City, Mexico, has business administration and computer science studies, and has been dedicated to teaching and tutoring Spanish classes since 2006. The center has experience offering classes for Transitional Kinder, homeschoolers, elementary, middle school, and high school students.
The mission of Perla Spanish Tutoring Center is to invite students to venture into new worlds by learning Spanish, with Spanish described as a vehicle into worlds full of fun, joy, culture, and entertainment. The mission statement says the staff will pour their passion and dedication into creating a highly engaging and fun learning environment and will work to make sure students love the language as much as they do.
