The Sly Park Outdoor Education Program offers a primary 4- or 5-day residential environmental education experience. Each day includes two 3-hour educational hikes. Students also take part in a night walk, a discovery lab, an astronomy center, an ecology center, and orienteering. Day field trips are also offered in 4-hour and 6-hour options.

About the provider
Sly Park Environmental Education Center has provided outdoor education since 1970. The program is led by Sly Park Director Jeremy Meyers. It is an Accredited California Resident Outdoor Learning Center, and its programs are certified by the California Outdoor School Association. The program is aligned with California Next Generation Science Standards and is a permittee of the Eldorado National Forest. Its mission is to cultivate environmental literacy through experiential and place-based learning, and staff support the academic, social, and emotional growth of participants.
Programs operate in all weather conditions, including rain, snow, and ice. In accordance with Federal law and U.S. Department of Agriculture policy, the institution is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability.
