Poway Performing Arts Company Youth Theatre Programs take place at Poway Performing Arts Company’s home theatre. The programs are part of PowPAC, which focuses on theatrical experiences within a community theatre environment.
Poway Performing Arts Company was established in 1981. Its mission is to create theatrical experiences of the highest standards within the community theatre environment, to produce and present works with diverse and balanced programming, to provide an environment for the growth and education of the artist, the audience and the community at large, to expand audiences, to engage audiences, and to entertain audiences.
PowPAC is Poway’s only community theatre and is an independent volunteer-run not-for-profit registered charity with no affiliation or support from any external body. PowPAC is a member of ACT San Diego. Opportunities exist to help with productions in front-of-house, backstage, and technical roles, and experienced PowPAC staff are available to offer training and mentoring in theatrical skills.
