• Ages: 4–18 years old
Bravo Rhythmic Gymnastics is a USA Gymnastics member club and is described as one of Northern California's strongest rhythmic gymnastics teams. The program offers both recreational and competitive rhythmic gymnastics classes in Silicon Valley and is home to top placing rhythmic gymnasts in the region and nation. Beginner classes are specifically for girls who have minimal or no prior experience in rhythmic gymnastics and are offered for ages 4–6 and 6–12 (also described as 4–6 years old and 7–12 years old). The Pre-Team program is an intensive experience for girls ages 5–8, and participation in this program, as well as in the FIG and JO Developmental teams, is by invitation only. After completing the Pre-Team program, participants are evaluated for Xcel and JO (developmental) competitive teams. The Xcel program is described as accommodating gymnasts with various commitments and activities and requires a lower time commitment, with the Xcel team competing at local, regional, and national competitions and giving girls their own routines, leotards, and experiences performing in front of an audience and judges. FIG and JO Developmental teams encompass levels 3–10, and athletes in the competitive program participate in local, regional, and national competitions, including some of the most prominent events nationwide. A trial class is available so children can discover rhythmic gymnastics. The program’s mission states that it emphasizes precise technique with rope, hoop, ball, clubs, and ribbon, along with body awareness, conditioning, flexibility, sportsmanship, self-confidence, and a growth mindset, in a secure, healthy, and enjoyable environment for athletes of all levels. The staff includes experienced coaches who have competed and coached at top levels in the United States and Russia.
