PlayThrive School After School Program is led by experienced teachers and follows a project-based, student-centered curriculum. It is a Mandarin school focused on the whole child, with bilingual and global perspectives and a whole-child approach through project-based learning, social emotional learning, and explorative play. The program offers high quality programs and small class sizes, with a low teacher:student ratio of 1:12, and 1:9 for the TK/Kindergarten class. PlayThrive is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting whole child education in a Mandarin immersion environment and has hosted over three dozen cultural and whole-child events, including several fun, enriching events and activities throughout the year. PlayThrive is a non-profit educational bilingual environment that recognizes children as citizens who value community, culture, and self-identity, and aims to create a space for children to explore, have fun, develop empathy, connect with one another, and cultivate a passion for lifelong learning.

PlayThrive has built a strong and supportive community since 2015 and fosters a community of parents and educators that supports bilingual whole child education. The program has membership in the Association of Northern California Chinese Schools (www.anccs.org). Families describe PlayThrive as a nurturing and inspiring environment with dedicated, caring, and innovative teachers, and note that children come home with art projects, speak Mandarin, and form strong attachments to teachers and close friendships.
