Redwood City AYSO offers youth soccer through a Fall Recreational Program, EPIC soccer (formerly VIP), Winter & Spring Select, and age-based games including Playground (4U), 5U, 6U, 7U, 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U games. The program supports over 1,400 players each year and includes the EPIC Program for players with special needs, as well as Winter & Spring Select for experienced athletes from the Fall Program in age divisions 9U–14U. Top players from Redwood City AYSO are invited to join competitive teams that play against neighboring AYSO regions across the Bay Area.

Redwood City AYSO has been serving the community since 1971 and is a volunteer-run recreational youth soccer program. It is Region 1 within the American Youth Soccer Organization and is part of AYSO Area 2N in Section 2, competing with neighboring regions at the older divisions 12U, 14U, 16U, and 19U. AYSO is described as a national nonprofit dedicated to youth soccer, and AYSO’s stated mission is to provide quality youth soccer programs based on six philosophies: Everyone Plays, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship, and Player Development.
The Region 1 Board includes roles such as Regional Commissioner, Asst. Regional Commissioner, Child and Volunteer Protection Advocate, Fields Coordinator, Registrar, Treasurer, Regional Referee Administrator, Regional Coach Administrator, division directors for age groups from 4U through 16U–19U, and EPIC program leadership. Each Region 1 Board meeting begins with a public comment period and is held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm.
