Swagger Athletics was founded in 2009 by former pro baseball players. The program was founded with the purpose of developing young athletes into solid individuals, teaching lessons both on and off the field, learning from both success and failure, and developing habits and attitude that are beneficial in sports and life as well. Swagger Athletics is led by Director David Jefferson.

Swagger Athletics fields travel baseball teams in multiple age groups that compete in USSSA, Perfect Game, FiveTool, and PBR tournaments in the summer, fall, and spring seasons. Its 6U–12U youth teams, ranging from AA to Major, mainly compete in local venues, while 13U and above High School Prep teams compete in both local and regional venues. The program starts from a player’s initial introduction to baseball in Little League and continues through high school and beyond, and it also offers baseball camps and clinics to a wider audience of kids to supplement recreational leagues such as Little League and Pony Baseball. Coaches place the same emphasis on baseball fundamentals in camps and clinics as they do with the travel program, in a fun and upbeat environment.

Swagger Athletics applies a holistic athlete development model that prepares athletes through physical wellness, gametime EQ/IQ, and progressive skill elevation. The program also prepares the whole family for the competitive baseball lifestyle and for understanding recruiting for high school and college level, including how to conduct oneself in the recruiting process. Youth teams focus on player development first and foremost, with an eye towards competing at the next level, and teams play at local and regional tournaments and games appropriate to their level so that coaches can provide active coaching during gametime situations.

Swagger Athletics partnered with an elite baseball organization called Top Tier, based out of Chicago, to offer Top Tier NorCal to athletes all over Northern California who want to compete at the highest level at various regional and national tournaments. Swagger also partnered with the Riekes Center in Menlo Park to give their athletes access to speed and agility workouts, strength and conditioning training, and batting cages and indoor mounds.
