Nomura Preschool

Nomura Preschool offers soccer, gymnastics, dance, and music as part of its program. Classes in these activities are typically 30 minutes in length and held once a week. The program also includes age-appropriate academics, enriching art and music, creative free play, and stimulating physical activities in a child-centered, nurturing environment with a cozy, welcoming village feel and a neighborhood feel for young learners.

Nomura Preschool was founded in 1964 by Mrs. Faith Nomura. It has served children in Richmond, Albany, El Cerrito, Berkeley, and surrounding communities since 1964. The mission of Nomura Preschool is to build connections between its students and the world around them. The school offers toddler, preschool, and pre-kindergarten classes that are customized for different age groups and abilities, along with an extracurricular program that includes end-of-the-year performances where students can show the skills they have learned. The leadership team includes Matthew Clark (School Administrator), Melanie Clark (Admissions Director), and Keiko Hernandez (School Director).
