Riverside Arts Academy offers music instruction in orchestra, mariachi, strings, and choir. The program is described as a vibrant, intensive arts education program for young people from 2nd–12th grade. It is an El Sistema-inspired program that believes in the development of the whole child, not just as an artist, but as a human being.

Founded in 2012, Riverside Arts Academy provides over 100 hours of instruction weekly to over 500 students across the Riverside area. Its mission states that, with its community partners, Riverside Arts Academy provides high quality music education for all young people to enrich their lives and communities. Riverside Arts Academy is a proud member of El Sistema USA and the International El Sistema movement. The program states that it strengthens and celebrates the community through meaningful music education and performance.
