RUSD Early Childhood Programs

RUSD Early Childhood Programs offers Full Day/Part Day Head Start, State Preschool, Subsidized Preschool, Spanish Preschool Program, Infant/Toddler care, and the Early Head Start Infant and Toddler Program. The preschool programs serve children ages 2 years and 9 months to 4 years old, and the infant and toddler programs serve children 6 weeks to 2 years old. Preschool applications are being accepted for the 2026-2027 school year, and enrollment is online.

Programs

• Full Day / Part Day Head Start — Children ages 2 years and 9 months to 4 years old · Free to qualifying families based on income.
• State Preschool — Children ages 2 years and 9 months to 4 years old · Free to qualifying families based on income. A subsidized partial payment option is available to families over the State Income Ceilings.
• Subsidized Preschool — Children ages 2 years and 9 months to 4 years old · Free to qualifying families based on income. A subsidized partial payment option is available to families over the State Income Ceilings.
• Spanish Preschool Program — Children ages 2 years and 9 months to 4 years old · Offered at Mountain View.
• Infant/Toddler care — 6 weeks - 2 years · At Lincoln High School for qualifying families.
• Early Head Start Infant and Toddler Program — 6 weeks - 2 years · Free of charge for teen parents, expecting parents, and community members who meet program requirements.

About the provider

Enrollment is online. Preschool applications are being accepted for the 2026-2027 school year. Once an application and all initially required documentation have been submitted, the office will contact the family via HUBBE to continue the eligibility and enrollment process. The review process may take 2-3 weeks.
