Owings Martial Arts offers martial arts and self-defense training for children, teens, and adults. The program takes place in a supportive, family-run school and includes individual attention in each class.
• Ages: 4–18 years old
Owings Martial Arts has over 30 years of experience and is ATA Certified. The leadership team includes Sr Master Dane Owings, a 7th Degree Black Belt, Chief Instructor, California State Champ, and Ranked 1st in the World in 2003, who is also an owner. Denise Owings is a 5th Degree Black Belt, Certified Instructor, California State Champion, Bully Prevention Certified, and an owner. Herb Niederberger is a 3rd Degree Black Belt, Instructor, and World Champion. The program offers Kids Programs for ages 4–6 and 7–12, as well as a Teens/Adults Program. Classes cover Honor, Respect, Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Confidence, and Loyalty each week. The school states that it provides outstanding customer service and safe professional martial arts instruction, and that students and their families come first. Owings Martial Arts describes its mission as enhancing the community and its citizens through the positive personal development of its students and by providing inspiration of personal excellence through the examples of its Black Belts in and out of school.
