theCoderSchool Rocklin Camps uses a small student-to-coach ratio of 2:1 in its flagship after-school Code Coaching program, with customized project-based coding lessons where each coder works in their area of interest and at their own pace. Entry-level classes are offered in a larger ratio, and the program also runs @school classes and coding camps during holidays and summer, where kids code throughout the week. TheCoderSchool is part of a nationwide system of over 70 locations around the country, teaching over 7,000 students every week with the support of more than 1,000 Code Coaches, and has been headquartered and founded in Silicon Valley since 2014.

The stated mission of theCoderSchool Rocklin is to do more than just teach coding, encouraging aspiring coders to think outside the box, channel ideas in a creative way, and have fun. As a longtime partner of the Congressional App Challenge, theCoderSchool helps encourage innovation through coding across the country and plans to collaborate with the Challenge beginning in 2025–2026 on a national recognition program to identify a handful of top applications from thousands of student submissions. The organization also runs a National Top App of the Month program, where each month it votes on the best app from hundreds submitted nationwide by students.

Parent testimonials describe customized curriculum for STEM concepts via coding, engaging online classes and camps, and kids enjoying Scratch camp and creating games, with comments from families in New Jersey, California, Georgia, and Connecticut.
