Palos Verdes Youth Basketball League offers 3-on-3 half-court basketball, as well as 4-on-4 and 5-on-5 full court basketball. Lower Divisions play on 8' baskets with smaller balls in a 3-on-3 half-court format, while Upper Divisions play 4-on-4 or 5-on-5 full court competition with standings, playoffs, and a championship.
• Schedule: Early Bird ends Monday, June 30, 2026, with enrollment ending Monday, August 31, 2026, and the season including mandatory player assessments in September and games running from November 14, 2026, through February 13, 2027.
• Price: You can save $80 by reusing the uniform.
Palos Verdes Youth Basketball League is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization run entirely by volunteers, with 100% of proceeds used to benefit the players. The organization is led by a Board of Directors that includes Deirdre Briese, Ben Chai, Chris Chen, Noreen Chu, RaShaan Davis, Lyle Hall, Vincent Huang, Doron Kahana, Roger Lin, Will Liu, Jon Marcus, Steve Nguyen, Aisha Shaikh, Shan Win, and Ann Yamauchi. Volunteer coaches are all background checked, screened by the Board, trained by professional coaches, and supported with tools to succeed. The league’s mission is to develop age-appropriate basketball skills and build confidence in the sport.
Players wear high-quality, custom-designed, reversible jerseys and shorts with a personalized name and number, and uniforms may be reused in future seasons by selecting the “Reusing Shorts” and “Reusing Jersey” add-ons at enrollment. The Winter 2026 season is described as “the Best Game in Town,” and the league notes that the season starts after the end of AYSO regular season and ends before Little League opening day.
