Palos Verdes Youth Basketball League offers a 2026 Winter League for boys and girls, with younger and older divisions described. It also offers 2026-27 Challenger Basketball for boys and girls with physical or intellectual challenges, and this program is non-competitive and focused on basketball fundamentals and fun. Lower divisions play on 8' baskets with smaller balls in a 3-on-3 half-court format, and upper divisions use 4-on-4 or 5-on-5 full-court competition.

Sponsored by PVYBL. Families provide transportation to and from the courts and water for their player.

About the provider
Palos Verdes Youth Basketball League is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization run entirely by volunteers. The mission is to develop age-appropriate basketball skills and build confidence in the sport. Its coaches are background checked, screened by the Board, trained by professional coaches, and supported with the tools to succeed. Winter season is scheduled to start after the end of AYSO's Fall regular season and end before most local Little League Opening Days. For Challenger Basketball, it is non-competitive and free. Buddies are community volunteers who ensure players have a safe, fun, and memorable experience.
