About
The Ross Mathematics Program is a 6-week intensive summer experience that encourages motivated pre-college students to explore mathematics. During the program, students are immersed in a world of mathematical discovery in a focused and supportive environment for mathematical exploration. In Summer 2026, the Ross/USA program will run at two sites, with the same program dates at each site.
• Schedule: 6-week intensive summer experience; program dates for both sites are June 14 through July 24, 2026
The Ross Mathematics Program states that mathematics is viewed as a genuine and rich human experience, and it is dedicated to creating an environment that allows students to explore their relationships with mathematics. The program’s mission includes allowing students to dive into mathematics deeply, to contemplate and experience mathematics for themselves, and to share this exploration with others. The mission statement notes that many Ross students go on to be leaders in mathematics, business, technology, and other fields of scientific research, and that the program aims to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills. It also states that the value of a mathematics education includes chances for students to reflect on their own lives, their communities, and how they live in the world, and that the Ross Program helps students along their life journeys. The Ross Program also states a dedication to creating communities that are diverse, inclusive, and welcoming, and it welcomes and supports students of all backgrounds in the hopes of broadening the realm of mathematics. The program is supported by partners including the American Mathematical Society (AMS), Jane Street, and Citadel.
