Arden Manor Recreation and Park District Youth Programs include activities such as an annual Easter Egg Hunt, pancake breakfast, outdoor games, creative arts, themed weeks, and photo opportunities. The programs also offer a swim team, floor exercise classes, and dance classes through Backstage Performing Arts Center at the Deterding Community Center.

• Schedule: Floor exercise classes on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7pm–8pm, and Thursdays from 5pm–6pm
The Arden Manor Pirates Swim Club is a summer recreation swim team that focuses on development, competitiveness, and fun and is a recreational team focused on serving the members of the community. The Arden Manor Pirates Swim Club consists of more than 80 swimmers of varying skill levels ranging from 4–18 years old, and the Arden Manor Pirates Swim Team is open to all swimmers ages 4–18 who are able to swim the length of the pool unassisted, with swimmers potentially becoming eligible after completing a swim test. Students in TK (4–5 years old) must be completely potty-trained to join Arden Manor School Break Camps. The Arden Manor Recreation and Park District reports that its experienced and caring staff are dedicated to providing high-quality programming. The Arden Manor Recreation and Park District was formed on June 22, 1953. The mission of the Arden Manor Recreation and Park District is to serve all District residents by providing positive recreation experiences and by preserving and maintaining park-lands and facilities through efficient and effective management. The Arden Manor Recreation and Park District maintains three parks: Crabtree, Deterding, and Jonas Larkspur, and its district boundaries run from the south side of Arden Way to the north side of Fair Oaks Boulevard and from the east side of Fulton Avenue to the west side of Watt Avenue.
