Arden Manor Recreation and Park District Youth Programs include a Junior Recreation Leader program, Summer Camp, the Thomas Edison Afterschool Program, the Arden Manor Pirates Swim Team, and dance classes. The Junior Recreation Leader program is designed for youth ages 13–14. Dance classes are offered for children and adults and are held every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

The Arden Manor Recreation and Park District was formed on June 22, 1953 and was the second independent District formed in Sacramento County. The District maintains three parks: Crabtree, Deterding, and Jonas Larkspur. District boundaries are the South side of Arden Way to the North side of Fair Oaks Boulevard and the East side of Fulton Avenue to the West side of Watt Avenue. The Arden Manor Afterschool Program provides a safe and fun atmosphere for students after school. Arden Manor Summer Camp 2026 offers a fun, safe, and engaging environment with exciting outdoor games, creative arts, themed weeks, and special guests. The mission of the Arden Manor Recreation and Park District is to serve all District residents by providing positive recreation experiences and by preserving and maintaining park-lands and facilities through efficient and effective management. Backstage Performing Arts Center will be offering dance classes for children and adults at the Deterding Community Center. The pool facility includes picnic tables and a gazebo located inside of the pool area, and the pool can be reserved for party rentals on Sundays throughout the summer. Picnic tables or the gazebo inside the pool area can be rented.
