River City Youth Soccer League offers soccer programs that include both recreational soccer and competitive soccer. The program also includes referee field courses for 25/26 licenses.

• Schedule: League Board Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month starting at 7:00pm, and the 2026 Annual General Meeting is on January 21st at 7:00pm.
River City Youth Soccer League states that its goal is to provide an opportunity for youth players of all skill levels to participate in soccer programs. The league is comprised of seven recreational clubs and one competitive club representing neighborhoods throughout Sacramento County, and Union Sacramento FC draws players from the greater Sacramento area, including Arden Park, British American, Del Dayo, El Camino, Rosemont, Sierra Oaks, and St. Ignatius recreational soccer clubs. RCYSL is affiliated with the California Youth Soccer Association (Cal North) for recreational programs and with Cal North and US Club for the competitive program, and these organizations are affiliated with United States Youth Soccer, the United States Soccer Federation, and FIFA. RCYSL is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit California Corporation, and the RCYSL Referee Coordinator is Jose Moreno.
The league has a new referee abuse policy for 2025 that includes penalty matrices and a tripled-discipline multiplier for abuse of an officiating minor. RCYSL has an AQI policy that cancels U6–U14 games at or above 150 AQI per the IQAir app starting at 2 p.m. the preceding day. A Cal North Concussion Procedures and Protocol document as revised for RCYSL, a Cal North Concussion Notification form, and a revised Referee's Send-Off Report form that includes a check-off box to indicate the occurrence of a possible concussion are available in the league’s downloads. Referee field courses for 25/26 licenses are scheduled on August 9 and 17 at Jonas Larkspur Park.
