About
Arden Park Soccer Club offers recreational soccer, competitive soccer, and its AP Select club soccer division, which includes open tryouts, a Fall League, and tournaments. The program also runs Summer Skills Clinics, a Keeper Camp with goalkeeper training, and relies on volunteer coaches and other volunteers to support its teams and activities.
• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: AP Select tryouts are typically held in late May, with the AP Select season generally running June–December; Summer Skills Clinics are typically held in June during summer break with a week-long clinic for each age group, and Keeper Camp is typically held in July
Arden Park Soccer Club is organized and run by a small group of volunteers, many of whom are parents of players, and fields over 100 teams each season, with close to 1,200 players and over 115 teams relying heavily on volunteer coaches. The club’s AP Select teams compete in the Nor Cal Premier League, and its recreational teams compete in the River City Youth Soccer League. The club is affiliated with the California Youth Soccer Association (CYSA), the United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA), and US Club Soccer. The mission of Arden Park Soccer Club states that it works to create an environment in which players can have fun while reaching their full potential, develop self-confidence and positive self-esteem, prepare to move on to higher levels of play if they choose, and learn life skills such as adapting, reflecting, working as part of a team, and understanding how their role fits into the success of the greater whole, with the goal that the soccer experience enhances players’ overall education and development. The leadership team includes roles such as President/Manager, Director of Coaching, Secretary, Treasurer, Registrar, coaching coordinators for different age groups, referee coordinators, sponsorship coordinators, communications, fields, equipment, picture day, events, and volunteer coordination.
