Fairytale Town Educational Programs take place in a 3.5-acre children’s play park and outdoor children’s museum that features 26 playsets based on nursery rhymes and fairytales, a friendly flock of farm animals, two performing arts stages, several gardens, and over 25 bright and colorful play sets with child-friendly slides throughout the grounds. The park is home to a menagerie of animals from the pages of children’s stories, where children can meet Peter Rabbit at Mr. McGregor’s Garden and see the sheep that Mary brought to school one day. Small gardeners can help water seasonal vegetable beds and look for a sprouting alphabet of exotic plants. Small adventurers can join Robin Hood’s band of Merry Men in Sherwood Forest’s extensive play fort, go down Jack’s Beanstalk, ride in Cinderella’s carriage, and walk on The Crooked Mile play structure. King Arthur’s Castle has been a place for birthday parties for three generations, and annual memberships provide free admission and park discounts for twelve months. Year-round special events, theater performances, and educational programming celebrate holidays, introduce multicultural themes, promote literacy, and offer creative experiences.
