Fairytale Town Educational Programs include activities such as Toddler Time, Children’s Theater Shows, campouts, concerts, an Adventure Playground, birthday parties, field trips, School Field Trip Workshops, Summer FunCamps, Scout Programs, theater performances, and other educational programming. Families can also choose from party packages with Party FAQs and Party Extras for birthday celebrations. King Arthur’s Castle is used as a place for birthday parties within the program offerings. Year-round special events, theater performances, and educational programming celebrate holidays, introduce multicultural themes, promote literacy, and offer creative experiences.

Fairytale Town Educational Programs take place in a 3.5-acre children’s play park and outdoor children’s museum with 26 playsets based on nursery rhymes and fairytales, a friendly flock of farm animals, two performing arts stages, and several gardens. The setting includes animals from the pages of children’s stories, including Peter Rabbit at Mr. McGregor’s Garden and the sheep that Mary brought to school one day, along with seasonal vegetable beds and an alphabet of exotic plants. Children encounter features such as Sherwood Forest’s extensive play fort, Jack’s Beanstalk slide, Cinderella’s carriage, The Crooked Mile play structure, and King Arthur’s Castle. Annual memberships are available and include free admission and park discounts for twelve months.
Fairytale Town has offered children and families a place to imagine, play and learn for 66 years and has welcomed millions of guests since it opened in 1959. The mission of Fairytale Town Educational Programs is “Promoting the imagination, creativity and education of children.” The leadership team includes Kevin Smith-Fagan, Executive Director; Sammi Hawes, Assistant Director and Education & Programs Manager; Kevin Williams, Director of Advancement; Zang Her, Guest Services Manager; Jim Hernandez, Animal Care Manager; Charlie Hildeburn, Business Manager; Dave Daley, Grounds Manager; Bre Berger, Marketing Coordinator; Elizabeth Vang, Membership & Fund Development Coordinator; Elvia Reyes and Taylor Riffle, Education & Program Coordinators; Jessica Schorr, Story Center Coordinator; Annie Wu, Guest Service Coordinator; Nadine Raley, Birthday Party Coordinator; and Steve Caudle, Play Manager, Sacramento Adventure Playground.
