NorCal Player Development Program (PDP)

The NorCal Player Development Program (PDP) identifies, develops, and showcases top motivated and talented players in Northern California. Over 2,000 players from NorCal Member Clubs can participate each season, and players from any NorCal club may train, travel, and play international games against elite teams from different countries. Selected players may also take part in showcase games, residential state camp, international trips, college showcases, tournaments, and events.

Programs

• NorCal Player Development Program (PDP) — U12-U14; U15-U17 · U12-U14: one time per month in each region, on Mondays; U15-U17: one time a month at different locations · Sanctioned as Olympic Development Programs (ODP) via US Club Soccer’s id2 and Player Development Programs.

About the provider

The program has grown over the last 20 years of NorCal Premier Soccer and serves as a reference point for youth leagues throughout the country. It is sanctioned as Olympic Development Programs (ODP) via US Club Soccer’s id2 and Player Development Programs.

For Season 2026-2027, age groups are U12-U14 for regional players and U15-U17 for state pools. Regional players are recommended through DOC recommendation during the June/July window or by being scouted by PDP staff. Players younger than listed will only be considered in exceptional circumstances with final approval of the PDP director. Only players currently playing in NorCal Member Clubs are eligible for selection.
