Sacramento Aquatics Club is a year-round competitive USA Swim Team where swimmers take part in regular practices and swim meets. New swimmers can participate in a weeklong evaluation and trial before joining the team. The program is not designed for seasonal team swimmers, and new members are encouraged to join with the intention of long-term commitment.

The Sacramento Aquatics Club states that it is dedicated to helping every swimmer realize their full potential as both an athlete and an individual, while fostering a lifelong love of swimming. The program’s stated goal is to teach swimmers skill, technique, and endurance, along with the life lessons of perseverance, determination, personal responsibility, sportsmanship, confidence, and respect for others. It also states that success is not determined just by winning a race, but by the overall growth of a swimmer’s character, abilities, confidence, and accomplishments.
Head coach Terry brings over 30 years of coaching experience to the sport of swimming and, within USA Swimming, has coached Sierra Nevada Swimming League record holders, Far Western high-point champions, Western Zone age group finalists and champions, Sectional and Futures champions, and Junior National and National Championship qualifiers. Terry also serves as the Cosumnes River College head swimming coach.
Sacramento Aquatics Club has been recognized by USA Swimming as one of the top 200 teams in the nation, earning Bronze Medal Club status for the first time in the 2025–26 Club Excellence program. According to ASCA 2022/2023 swimming results, Sacramento Aquatics Club earned 14th place in the nation as the best 12 & under Age Group Swimming team.
