Sacramento Judo Club

Sacramento Judo Club offers education and training in the sport of Judo, including martial arts practice and the philosophy of Judo. The program includes junior, youth, and adult classes and supports athletes who participate in national or international competition. Judo at this club is an Olympic sport.

• Ages: 6–18 years old
• Schedule: Junior and youth classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, adult classes on Monday and Wednesday evenings, and combined adult, youth, and junior classes on Saturday mornings
• Price: ANNUAL NATIONAL USJF MEMBERSHIP DUES; MONTHLY CLUB DUES; INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILY MEMBERSHIP

Since 1935 the Sacramento Judo Club has been developing youth and adults through the sport of Judo and follows the teachings of Jigoro Kano, the founder of Kodokan Judo. The club is a non-profit (501c3) charitable organization, and all instructors and other members volunteer their time for the mutual benefit of the community. All fees charged for participation are applied to the overhead and operation of the club and the development of youth and adults that are participants, and the club accepts donations to help reduce expenses for low-income students and to support competitors in competition. The club is a member of the Hokka Yudanshakai (the Northern California Judo Association) and is affiliated with the United States Judo Federation (USJF), California Judo Inc. (CJI), United States Judo Inc. (USJI), and the Kodokan. Sacramento Judo Club has been ranked one of the top ten dojos in the United States and is recognized as a 5 STAR JUDO CLUB for excellence by the USJF. The club’s parents and students participate in fundraising activities to support youth and adult athletes in national or international competition, and many businesses and individuals support these activities by donating money, time, or materials.
