Spare Time Junior Tennis Academy is a year-round tennis program for junior players ages 11-18. The program includes training sessions Monday-Friday, with school year hours from 4:00-6:00 PM and summer morning hours that vary by location. A free try-out is offered for serious tennis players ages 11-18.
Programs
- Spare Time Junior Tennis Academy — ages 11-18 · Monday-Friday; school year 4:00-6:00 PM; summer June-August morning hours vary by location · Year-round program for serious, motivated, accomplished, and competitive junior tennis players. Free try-out offered.
- Junior Excellence Program — kids of all ages and abilities · Designed for the more serious tennis player who plays tournaments and/or high school tennis. Highest level junior tennis training before the Junior Tennis Academy.
- Junior Tennis Programming — all ages and levels · Programs from Red, Orange, Green Ball and Friday Match Play to Junior Team Tennis and USTA/UTR tournaments.
- Tennis Instruction — all juniors · Private lessons, group clinics, and team formats are available for all levels from beginner to advanced players.
- Summer Day Camps — week-long camps each summer · Camp themes include exploring science and nature, developing new talents, exploring art, and sporting activities. Includes one to two field trips or special activities each week.
- Youth Fitness & Sports — youths of all ages · after school · Youth sports programs and activities.
- Kids' Club and Play Center — kids · Family-friendly club and play center for kids to grow and have fun.
- Kids' Night Out — kids · Evening program with dinner, games and movies.

About the provider
Since 1972, Spare Time Sports Clubs has defined what the health and fitness industry should be. The leadership team includes Dima Hyrnashka, Academy Director at Rio Del Oro Sports Club; Doug Atkinson, Academy Director at Broadstone Sports Club; and Eric Roberson, Academy Coach at Rio Del Oro Sports Club. The Academy is led by certified tennis professionals and includes credentials such as ITF Coaching Certification, USPTA Elite Pro, and USTA Certified USTA High-Performance Coach.
Academy players can attend an unlimited number of sessions at any location. Family-friendly multi-child discount. Free try-out for serious tennis players ages 11-18. Monthly Academy fees are set to encourage consistent year-round participation.
