About the provider
The Monterey Zoological Society says it is dedicated to providing an entertaining yet educational and conservation minded experience that fosters public awareness and respect for all wildlife. The zoo was accredited by the Zoological Association of America in June 2020 and received a ZAA Exhibit Award in 2023 for the "Insert Rhino" Exhibit, along with a ZAA In-Situ Conservation Award for its contribution and efforts to conserve and protect rhinos world-wide. The zoo's educational programs touch thousands of children and adults annually, and the project benefits underprivileged children who might not otherwise be able to travel to the nearest zoo.
