About
Titus Park Swim Lessons offers group, private, and semi-private swimming lessons in a community swim and tennis club setting. Swimmers also have access to adult lap swim times, as well as other activities at the park such as tennis, pickleball, sand volleyball, basketball, movie nights, barbecues, games, contests, and camps. Titus Park uses a salt system for water sanitation that reduces or eliminates the need for added chlorine and is easier on eyes, skin, and swimsuits.
• Schedule: Group lessons are available during summer break, and adult lap swim is offered from 11:30 a.m. to noon and 5:30 to 6:00 p.m., with 15-minute adult swim periods at 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, and 4:00 p.m.; the park operates on spring, summer, and fall weekend schedules with specific hours from late May through early October.
• Schedule: Group lessons have no more than four swimmers in a class.
Titus Park Swim Lessons is part of a member-run and operated park. The mission of Titus Park is “Family, Friends, and fun in the sun!” with an emphasis on family, friends, and fun. Leadership and staff for the program and park include Park Manager and Group Swim Lesson Coordinator Tessa Best; Private Swim Instructors Carla Caballo and Alissa Scott; Pool Service Technician Adam Souza; Grounds staff Jackson Scott, Alex Jarvis, and Aidan Williams; Tennis Pro Phil Batchelder; and Bookkeeper Tessa Best. The Titus Board of Directors includes President Andrew Williams, Vice President Larissa Tackett, Treasurer Jeff Jarvis, Secretary/Facilities Jim Campbell, and Board Members Michelle Ball and Justin Linquist. The program notes that it has an amazing team of swim instructors for both group and private lessons, and that Carla Caballo will be offering private and semi-private lessons this season. The park invites members to consider serving as new board members.
