Willy Cahill has been an Olympic Judo coach, Paralympic Judo coach, and Pan Am Games Judo coach, and has also coached other regional and national judo teams and judokas. He holds a 9th degree black belt in Kodokan Judo and a 10th degree in Kodenkan Jujitsu. Cahill's Judo Academy has produced several Olympians and nearly 1,000 national and international champions, and CNN has done a story on Willy Cahill. Tournaments for both junior and senior athletes are held throughout the Bay Area, as well as national and international competitions. The academy offers a free trial class. The mission of Cahill’s Judo Academy states that it honors the legacy of John and Willy Cahill by offering instruction in judo and jiujitsu rooted in tradition and values, and that its doors are open to all regardless of age, ability, or experience.
