The center offers customized learning programs to address root causes of learning challenges such as ADD, ADHD, Autism, Asperger’s, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Distractibility, Communication Disorders, Emotional Processing, Executive Functioning, Focus, Hyperactivity, Impulsivity, Inattention, Language Processing Disorder, Memory, Self-Control, and Visual Perceptual/Visual Motor Deficit. Instruction at the center is immersed in scientific research that it is possible to overcome learning challenges by reprogramming root causes in the brain.

Students from all over the Bay Area come to the Lyon Learning facility for tutoring and coaching, including Belmont, Burlingame, Cupertino, Menlo Park, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Portola Valley, Los Altos, San Jose, San Francisco, Sunnyvale, Redwood City, Woodside, and more, and the center also supports families in Menlo Park, Redwood City, Belmont, San Mateo, Burlingame and surrounding regions. One grandparent from Menlo Park shared that three of her grandchildren have been going to Lyon Learning Center for several years and that she does not believe they would have had the same level of success in school without it. A parent from Palo Alto described that her son has ADHD and thanked Clarise and the staff for teaching him how to increase his ability to focus and read. Another parent from Redwood City noted that staff get down on the floor, work hands-on with the child, and go step by step through whatever the child has difficulty with. A parent from San Mateo said her son loves going to weekly sessions and sees them as fun and rewarding. An adult client from Cupertino reported being able to recall names the first time and use interesting facts more regularly in professional settings after brain coaching. Another parent shared that her son loves going to tutoring sessions and that the program has given him confidence to academically and emotionally succeed, and that his improvements over a year and a half exceeded her expectations. The center also shares information with families through messages such as “Back to School Executive Functioning and Establishing Routines” (August 24, 2017), “What Do Integration Exercises Have to Do With Learning?” (July 24, 2017), and “Suggestions to make reading more enjoyable” (June 14, 2017).
