About
San Carlos United Soccer Club offers competitive youth soccer teams along with an introductory soccer program called Youth United. The club also runs Summer Camps and organizes a See’s Candies Fundraiser as part of its activities. The Youth United introductory soccer program is a 6-week long program for boys and girls.
• Ages: 3–18 years old
• Schedule: 6-week long introductory soccer program
The Youth United Program is run by professional coaches. Youth United is described as an introductory soccer program for ages 3–8 that helps the youngest and newest players explore soccer, learning the basics of soccer with fun, enthusiastic coaching and age-appropriate skills, and is described as perfect for kids who are looking to improve their soccer skills in an age-appropriate fun learning environment. San Carlos United takes a holistic approach to player development, with stated values that include Players First, Competition, Respect, Community, and Long View. SCU currently has teams registered in competitive leagues for boys and girls born in the years 2007 through 2017, and players must try out and be selected to play for the competitive teams, with players who are playing up in a higher age group moved to their appropriate age group when it is formed unless there is a developmental need to keep them in an older age group. The club’s mission is to give competitive youth soccer players in its community a positive learning environment to have fun, reach their potential as soccer players, and grow as individuals. San Carlos United teams register through US Club Soccer Norcal Leagues, and the club has been featured in a NorCal Community Spotlight for the rise of SCU’s 2006 Girls. The club can be contacted by email at [email protected].
