Catalina Island Marine Institute (CIMI) is a STEM-based, outdoor science school that focuses on marine science education for 4th- through 12th-grade students. The program emphasizes hands-on marine biology and island ecology, along with activities that highlight self-esteem building, teamwork, environmental awareness, life skills, and peer relations. Each participating school selects its own CIMI adventure by choosing daytime and evening activities that match its students’ needs.
