About
Catalina Sea Camp offers activities such as sailing, snorkeling, underwater exploration, marine science, kayaking, scuba diving, campfires, and other ocean adventures. Campers take part in exploration on land and water, use a climbing wall, and play games like Gaga ball, nine-square, basketball, and volleyball. The program also includes sailing classes, snorkeling and scuba diving outfitted on the Dive Deck, and seafood cookery in an outdoor kitchen.

The program leadership team includes Summer Operations Director Paul Kupferman, Program Directors Britt Swanwick and Heather Peterson, and Catalina Sea Camp Summer Camp Director Jacqueline “Jacqui” Howe. One parent of an 11-year-old camper reported that their child arrived scared and unsure, felt included, stepped out of her comfort zone, and returned with high confidence and self-esteem, and that the learning process led her to decide to pursue a dream of becoming a marine biologist.
