Beach Cities Rock Club

Beach Cities Rock Club offers weekly private lessons that are tailored to each student’s level and musical interests. The lessons focus on technique and fundamentals, personalized song selection, music theory and ear training, and performance skills. It also offers optional band classes at no extra cost, seasonal open mic recitals and student showcase opportunities, and recording studio access for one-hour lesson members.

Programs

• Weekly Private Lessons — All ages; FAQ says 5 years old is the threshold at which most students will be ready for piano or drum lessons. There is no age limit to learning at Beach Cities Rock Club. · Weekly recurring timeslot; 30 minutes or 1 hour; same day and time each week · Instruction tailored to the student’s level and musical interests; focuses on technique and fundamentals, personalized song selection, music theory and ear training, and performance skills.
• Band Class / COLAB Band Class — Students able to participate; offered to all students able to participate. · Optional band classes available at no extra cost / no additional cost for students ready to play in a group.
• Seasonal Open Mic Recitals / Student Showcase Opportunities — Each member · Throughout the year, members have the chance to perform live.

About the provider

Beach Cities Rock Club is locally owned and operated and opened in 2012. Its curriculum and approaches reflect the California Arts Standards for Music. The leadership team includes Sarah Cooper, Biff Cooper, Sara Cooper, Dr. Ira Head, Mr. Alex, Mr. Greg, Mr. Matt, Miss Reese, and Mr. Cody.

• Recording Studio Access — One-hour lesson members · One-hour lesson members have access to the professional recording studio to record, mix, and share music.

No age limit to learning at Beach Cities Rock Club. In general, 5 years old is the threshold at which most students will be ready for piano or drum lessons. Weekly lessons are set up as a recurring timeslot. After a timeslot is agreed upon, billing registration is completed before the first lesson. Make up requests must be made via the Make Up Request form 24 hours before the missed lesson. The school accepts charter school payments from iLead and Cabrillo. Lessons are by appointment. No free trial lessons, but free consultations are offered. Memberships are month to month.
