Ballet Folklorico San Diego Dance Company offers Ballet Folklorico classes for Beginner 1, Beginner 2, Intermediate, Advanced and Elite, Beginner Adult, and Mommy and Me. Beginner 1 is for ages 4-6 and meets Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; Beginner 2 is for ages 7-12 and meets Saturday from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m.; Intermediate meets Monday and Friday from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.; Advanced and Elite meets Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.; Beginner Adult meets Tuesday from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.; and Mommy and Me meets Thursday from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.

About the provider
The program was established in 2024. Its mission is to use dance to develop life skills, community care, leadership, discipline, excellence, and professionalism, while building appreciation for Mexican tradition and culture, confidence, teamwork, and cultural pride. Leadership includes Nadia Arámbula as Founder, Artistic Director, and Master Instructor; Jimena Rodriguez and Madeline Nix as Teachers and Elite Dancers; Sherlyn Andrade as Assistant to the Artistic Director; and Angelica P., Lucy T., Micaela L., Nora H., and Veronica M. in administrative, digital operations, team support, and costume production roles. Its performances have included the San Diego Padres, San Diego Gulls, Balboa Park, SDG&E, InfoGov World, Kaiser Permanente, Sharp Hospital, San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum, San Diego County Fair, Old Town San Diego, The Old Globe, San Diego International Airport, Chicano Park, and others.
The program says, 'Not only do we teach dance, but we also impart lessons on leadership and discipline.' It also says, 'we are family that supports each other.' Private classes are offered for wedding dances, quinceañeras, Sweet 16 celebrations, surprise dances, and other special events.
