Camp Fire San Diego - Camp CaHiTo offers activities such as kayaking, canoeing, swimming, rock climbing, a climbing wall, archery, hiking Mission Trails, orienteering, and extreme adventure courses. Campers also take part in cookouts, arts and crafts, drama, hip hop dance, nature lore, fort building, animal-themed parties, star gazing, movie nights, game nights, and other arts, sports, nature activities, and team-building. Camp CaHiTo has camps running throughout the year for children ages 3 and up, including spring break camp, summer camp, Thanksgiving camp, and winter camp programs.

• Schedule: Summer camp runs May 25–September 4, with drop-off on Monday from 8:00–8:30 am and pick-up at the end of the week from 3:30–4:00 pm; Monday morning extended hours start at 7:00 am and Friday after-hours end at 6:00 pm

Camp Fire connects young people to the outdoors, to others, and to themselves. Camp Fire San Diego – Camp CaHiTo is the San Diego affiliate of the Camp Fire organization, which has been empowering San Diego youth through outdoor adventure since 1910 and is described as a national leader in youth development for more than 100 years. Founded in 1910, Camp Fire was America’s first multiracial, multicultural, and nonsectarian organization for girls, has been coed since 1975, and has been formally affirming of all sexual orientations since 1993. Camp Fire is described as an inclusive national youth development nonprofit that serves all young people and creates safe spaces where young people can have fun and be themselves, with affiliates providing year-round, youth-driven experiences such as school day programs, afterschool programs, leadership programs, and camps and outdoor education.
Camp CaHiTo Resident Camp uses wall tents for sleeping, with each tent sleeping up to 10 campers and located near bathrooms and individual showers. Resident Camp activities include kayaking, cookouts, archery, arts and crafts, rock climbing, orienteering, nature lore, drama, swimming, hip hop dance, and more, and transportation is provided to all off-site activities from Camp CaHiTo Resident Camp. Pricing for Resident Camp includes a special Resident Camp T-shirt, transportation to and from CaHiTo day camp, all activities such as the climbing wall, canoeing, and archery, and all meals and boarding. Resident Camp is described as perfect for both first-time and experienced campers, and Resident Camp was cancelled for 2020.
Camp CaHiTo is accredited by the American Camp Association and follows over 300 national standards for health and safety. The camp has an on-call nurse and director team available 24/7 during the camp program, and the staff is described as highly trained and caring, with a focus on small groups and a high staff ratio.
