The stated mission of i9 Sports is to help kids succeed in life through sports by teaching the importance of good sportsmanship on the field and in life. The program integrates one of nine sportsmanship values into practice and game play each week across all age groups, focusing on respect, positivity, teamwork, humility, enthusiasm, determination, integrity, inclusion, and leadership. Players who best demonstrate the weekly sportsmanship value receive an i9 Sports Excellence in Sportsmanship medal.

i9 Sports is the nation’s largest multi-sport provider focused solely on high-quality, community-based youth sports programs and has recorded over 5 million registrations in communities across the country. Youth flag football leagues frequently run year-round, are beginner-friendly, and are available nationwide. Youth soccer leagues are offered for kids ages 3–14, and youth basketball leagues are beginner-friendly and offered for kids ages 5–14. Some locations also offer additional sports such as lacrosse, cheerleading, tennis, and other multi-sport options, along with after-school programs, camps, and clinics. Nike Kids Camps powered by i9 Sports are designed for campers ages 5–12, with age groups broken out to ensure age-appropriate skills and to allow campers to try multiple new sports in a fun-filled atmosphere.

i9 Sports is proud to support the Aspen Institute’s national Project Play initiative and has been selected as a Project Play Champion for encouraging multi-sport sampling and helping grow national youth sports participation rates.
